IGA Hosts Lecture for IES Study Abroad Exchange Students

IGA hosted US exchange students enrolled in an IES Study Abroad program in Germany, Bulgaria and Greece. Dr. Rumena Filipova’s lecture and subsequent discussion delved into the following topics related to European politics:

  • State-sponsored hybrid threats from Russia and China;
  • Memory politics in Central and Eastern Europe and history education in Bulgaria;
  • Patterns in youth attitudes, including the rise of anti-democratic dispositions;
  • Public perceptions in CEE with respect to international strategic issues and domestic politics;
  • Policy-relevant responses to propaganda.
