Dr. Rumena Filipova took part in a panel discussion on the current state and prospects for Bulgaria’s and Czechia’s involvement in the Three Seas Initiative, organized by the Warsaw Institute on 18 July 2023.
IGA’s chairperson participated alongside Jan Lupomesky (Expert on Central Europe and the Three Seas Initiative) and Katja-Elisabeth Herrmann (Research Fellow at the Warsaw Institute). A key conclusion from the discussions highlighted a growing impetus towards deeper regional cooperation between Bulgaria and Romania as regards digital transformation, innovation and investment in start-ups within the 3SI framework. It was further noted that a significant reassessment has taken place in Czech foreign policy in the direction of greater commitment to the 3SI as a government priority.
