Dr. Rumena Filipova participated in the international conference Enhancing Information Resilience and Empowering International Cooperation to Counter Hybrid Threats, which took place on October 29-31, 2024 in Prague and was organized by CRDF Global in partnership with the Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation and Prague Security Studies Institute. Dr. Filipova presented IGA’s work on pro-Kremlin neutrality protests; constructing a whole-of-society approach for countering hybrid activities; Russia’s weaponization of culture, history and identity and strategies for building effective crisis communications. Overall, the wide-ranging discussions focused on the main ideas, tools and techniques for fostering information integrity and resilience from a multiplicity of conceptual and country perspectives.
