In an interview for Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, Dr. Rumena Filipova discussed the crucial symbolic importance of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Sofia, which took place on July 6, 2023. It reconfirmed Bulgaria’s Euro-Atlantic foreign policy orientation and security commitments. Also in focus was the significance of a NATO membership perspective for Ukraine and the fact that peace negotiations cannot happen at the expense of sovereign Ukrainian territories, including Crimea.
